In 1965, Fabro is a Visiting Professor at Notre Dame University in Indiana. The theme of the semester at Notre Dame University is The Principle of Immanence and the Genesis of Atheism. The revision of this work, in which the themes are expanded and deepened, will come together in the book Introduzione all’ateismo moderno (1964), translated and edited by Arthur Gibson, Newman Press (1968), Westminster, MD, with the title God in Exile: Modern Atheism.
Fabro is a founding member of the «University of St. Thomas» (Houston, Texas). In 1974 he receives the “Aquinas Medal” from the American Catholic Philosophical Association (Washington).
